Hello March!

Spring Flowers

Spring is almost here, and I don’t know about you, but I feel like my mood has been lifted already. I really struggle to motivate myself throughout the winter. I’ve got lots planned for March though and, I’m really loving being the most organised I’ve ever been thanks to my new Bullet Journal. If you’ve not heard of this system, you have to check out the YouTube video. I swear, it’s life-changing (and also allowing me to feed my stationery obsession).

So what are my plans for March? Well first up, I really need to get my Coco dress blogged. All I need is a couple of photos, but it’s been so dark here since I made it, that I haven’t had the opportunity. It’s on my list for this weekend!

I cut out two lovely dresses a few weeks back, one of which is my first BHL Anna dress, and I’m definitely going to get those finished and blogged very soon. Eleanor is also desperate for me to make the My Little Pony party dress I promised her; the fabric is just awesome so I can’t wait to see how that turns out.

After loving the embroidery hoop I made after reading the first issue of Simply Sewing (and the My Little Pony one I did afterwards), I’m also going to do the pashmina refashion. In fact my plan is to do it tonight when I’ve finished this blog post!

Also this month I’m off to the Sewing for Pleasure/Hobbycrafts show at the NEC. Anyone else going? I’m really looking forward to it, it was a good day out last year.

Have you seen this month’s issue of Mollie Makes? The cover gift is just the best! I made this cross stitch necklace and brooch in no time at all:

Wouldn’t they make the cutest gifts? Well, not these two, they’re mine. Happily, I discovered that Red Gate Stitchery, who designed these, has a shop on Etsy where you can buy kits or blank wooden shapes.

I was really hoping to have an awesome World Book Day costume to show you today, but sadly Eleanor decided she really wanted to wear her Disney princess dress. Sigh. Next year I think I’ll make something with plenty of time and not give her the choice, ha!

So that’s how March is shaping up for me… how about you?

  1. 1. Bullet journal = genius and going to try it out!
    2. Very cute necklace/brooch, might have to get some for my daughter 😉
    3. Hobbycraft @ the NEC?! Argh off to see when it is and if Mom is free!!

March is about refocusing for me. I’ve been diverted off my path a little and so I am digging in and getting to it this month.

Looking at my first Artisan market, although looking through worried eyes (am I artisan enough?) haha 😉

Genius and life-changing! I’m a little obsessed with mine now 🙂

Yes, I’ve been very unfocused of late, I think the beginning of spring is a good time to get back on track. Artisan market sounds interesting, good luck with it (you’re totally artisan enough!).

What is this bullet journal?! It’s restricted at work for some reason but it sounds magnificent!
I’m so jealous of all your productivity. I hope I will get my sewing space sorted soon because I’m fed up of not making anything!
Can’t wait to see your creations 😀

It’s pure organisational awesomeness, haha! I’ll write a quick post about mine with some photos
